Day Light Savings Time

Postby alyssa » Sat Mar 10, 2012 3:14 pm

Just a reminder that in the US we "spring ahead" tonight for Day Light Saving Time. You will need to reset your board clock, tomorrow.

It is easy.

1) Go to the User Controll Panel
2) click on Board preferences
3) find Summer Time/DST is in effect, set that to "yes"
4) Click submit

I only found out today that Arizona doesn't do DLST, I did't know HI didn't do it either. Is there a reason?

It's hot enough here in summer. We definitely don't need more daylight. Of course the morning starts to lighten up at 5AM!! But at least in the morning it's only 95 degrees. I have to walk my dog when the coyotes are roaming for breakfast. I think Hawaii doesn't do it cause the sun rises and sets at 7AM and 7PM year round. Hawaii likes to be a rebel, like not allowing gambling of any kind. :giggle:

Queensland doesn't do daylight savings as the farmers don't like it cause it confuses the cows

:coffeescreen: The cows must be like my dog, so it's good we don't have it either. :coffeescreen: And besides, the coyotes might get confused too. :coffeescreen:

Yep. Now my family is 2 hours ahead of me, and hubby's kids are even with us. They get confused though. :giggle:

Probably be better if we all lived on "island time".

Absolutely. Waikiki is always 3 hours behind us. Easy to remember. :dancingirish:
