Daylight Savings Time

Postby kath40 » Sat Mar 08, 2014 10:51 pm

Just a reminder that in the US we "spring ahead" Daylight Saving Time begins at 2am Sunday morning. You will need to reset your board clock.

It is easy.

1) Go to the User Controll Panel
2) click on Board preferences
3) find Summer Time/DST is in effect, set that to "yes"
4) Click submit

Now you are 2 hours ahead of me Kath. My sisters in NOLA haven't figured that out yet after all these years. :coffeescreen:

Yeah I wish they'd leave it alone...now everyone is all happy they get another hour of sunshine...as if the sun decided to slow down it's decent and stay in the sky an hour longer. Image :giggle:

We figured it is around now for at least 8 months out of the year. We have an atomic clock that keeps changing the time for us automatically, but it still does it according to the "old" schedule. And we don't want it to change period!!! It's annoying but I'm not buying another clock just because we don't want it to change. :coffeescreen:

:giggle: I have a couple of old fashioned set by hand clocks that I do myself, but my cellphone and bedroom clocks are set to automatically change with my time zone and DST. The only reble clock in the group is the one on my security alarm board. It still hasn't changed to the new DST, but it will....in a few days...change to reflect the correct time. I find it's too much of a hassle to go through the programing to set it everytime when it will eventually do so on it's own...so I don't bother to mess with that one. :stpatdrink:
